Throughout my junior year, I was given the opportunity to work as a Meredith apprentice for BHG.com. At BHG.com, I worked closely with the lifestyle, pets, home and garden sections in order to plan and develop content. Specifically, I developed written stories, attended pitch meetings, updated galleries, refreshed stories and worked with SEO and social teams to optimize content.
TREND Magazine Beauty Editor
August 2020 - Present
As TREND's beauty editor, I have enjoyed exploring a variety of topics within the beauty realm alongside my committee members and fellow editorial executives. Each week, I lead committee members through pitch meetings and collaborate with co-editors to create content and assign stories. In addition to editing my committee members' stories for TREND's monthly digital publication, I also write beauty-based content for TREND's biannual print publication.

​The Iowa State Daily equipped me with two years of valuable writing and reporting experience. Throughout my time working at the Daily I learned what it's like to work in a newsroom while writing content for the online and print platforms of the newspaper.
