Hi! My name is Averi Baudler and I am an Iowa State University journalism graduate (go class of '21!). I grew up just 40 minutes down the road in Clive, Iowa and have spent my Saturdays cheering on the Cyclones in my finest cardinal and gold attire for as long as I can remember. Most days you can find me sipping on a large cold brew with far too much cream, obsessing over Taylor Swift and all things musical theatre (Mean Girls is the current favorite) and poring over the pages of the magazines I now get the pleasure of writing for. 

 

My love of magazines spans decades, and I have continually turned to publications to inspire, advise and entertain me throughout various stages of my life. Whether I was scouring American Girl to get tips on how to plan the ultimate sleepover, consulting Seventeen in order to build my back-to-school look each fall, or now sharing InStyle articles and Cosmopolitan beauty tips with my friends, reading content from iconic brands has constantly served as a highlight of each day.

I truly value journalism as a way to give a voice to the voiceless. I care about the stories I am able to write and the connections I am able to make along the way. I love talking to people and working in collaborative environments, and I am most happy when surrounded by others. Everyone has a story to tell, and I will work diligently to ensure everyone has an opportunity to be heard.
